Help

1. Go to etlegacy.com/download and get the version for your system. On Windows pick the installer (.exe file), not the zip archive.
2. Run the installer and keep Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory assets ticked. The installer downloads the original game files (pak0, pak1, pak2) by itself.
3. Come back to etps.pl and click Play ET: Legacy. Your browser asks to open the game, allow it. You can also type /connect etps.pl in the game console.

ET: Legacy has a macOS version on etlegacy.com/download. On the first start macOS may block the game: right click it, choose Open and confirm. If the game asks for pak0.pk3, pak1.pk3, pak2.pk3, see the item above.

We only allow official ET 2.60/2.60b or ET: Legacy. Modified or unofficial builds are rejected. Get the official version from etlegacy.com/download.

Close the game and delete only the zzz_etps*.pk3 and *.dll files from the etps folder, then connect again. The game downloads them again, your settings stay. ET: Legacy keeps this folder in Documents\ETLegacy\etps, ET 2.60 in the game folder. Also make sure downloads are on: seta cl_allowDownload 1.

ET: Legacy needs the original game files: pak0.pk3, pak1.pk3 and pak2.pk3 in the etmain folder. The easiest fix is to run the installer again and keep Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory assets ticked. Have the old ET 2.60? Copy these three files from its etmain folder to etmain in ET: Legacy.

The game has too little memory for big maps. In the main menu, before you join the server, open the console (~ key) and type seta com_hunkMegs 512. Then close the game and start it again.

In the video options set Borderless Fullscreen instead of normal full screen and click Apply. It also helps with Alt+Tab and with opening links from the menu.

Turn off some effects (smoke, blood, shells, bullet marks). Every setting with its values is described on the Player settings page.

XP and level are stored on our server, but we recognise you by the etkey file. Before you change computers or reinstall the game, copy it and put it in the same place on the new system: ET: Legacy Documents\ETLegacy\etmain\etkey, ET 2.60 etmain\etkey in the game folder.
